For us, it means celebrating the complex, vibrant, and evolving cultural and social landscape of the region we live in, beyond its territory and history. It's about leaving stereotypes behind, to uncover and amplify the stories that portray the different faces and realities of the American South. It is not a homogenous region, but a place rich in cultural diversity and we celebrate the experiences of all Southerners.

Our editorial focus is on Southern Literature because we believe the American South is a region rich in a storytelling tradition that offers a wide variety of voices, stories and perspectives worth exploring and sharing. Those stories come from many backgrounds but are interwoven into the cultural, historical and literary fabric of the region.
Our focus isn't a limitation, it's our anchor. By dedicating ourselves deeply to this literary tradition, we can offer a level of curation, authenticity and depth that honors and expands Southern literature.

No. We have an Open Door philosophy and welcome submissions from any author through our portal.
